any ideas please! and hair ideas? please & thank you! <3
what about this for a dress? not sure if i’m allowed it, my mum said it’s like a ‘piece of cloth’ but i like it. not sure it would suit my face aha.

What did ancient Romans wear in cold weather?

Did they still wear sandals and togas when they were in snowy parts of Italy, or in England? I mean, they got all over the place so that must have had something to wear besides their bedsheets didn’t they?

Is America smothering the sexual nature of men?

I’ve been hearing allot lately from the heterosexual community, which includes the all-influencing barsexual girls, the general consensus that women are naturally sexier than men because they were made to seduce men. This got me thinking about the stone ages which got me thinking about men in togas and then I had my epiphany:

How much of the visual nature of men is actually explored in modern day society? Do men wear toga like outfits? Do we even see the male leg, which the Greeks put spectacular focus on, under all those baggy, insecure jeans? In fact the Greeks (and Romans) got it all right: the sandals, the showing of only half the male chest, the softness of the men, the fabrics that are draped rather than boxed on. Here all we get is an over muscled chest and loads of "overcompensation".

How can we say women have a deeper sexuality when we aren’t even willing to explore vital parts of male sexuality? Are any women or gay guys with me?
Zzz the Greeks didn’t wear dresses, they wore togas…

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are going to dress up like a roman couple (yay for easy toga costumes) and Ryan, our 16 month old, is going to be CUPID! we bought him angle wings and a bow and arrow. Im making his toga out of a pillow case.

I really doubt my son is going to hold his bow and arrow for much of the night. So I don’t really know if people will get that he’s cupid if hes in a little white toga and angle wings. Will they think he’s an angle? Should his toga be made out of a red pillow case instead? or do i stick with the white? Im thinking im also going to sew/pin a large felt heart over his heart just for detail. Do you think putting glitter/sparkle on his cheeks would be ok….lol….what do you think? Is the whole thing too girly?

Red toga, white wings, white belted sash, white felt heart on his chest, gold sparkle on his cheeks, gold sandals. and maybe something like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/51812962/angelic-wing-hair-clips?ref=sr_gallery_34&ga_search_query=costume+wings&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=37&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title attached to his shoes. Your thoughts???

Can someone help me interpret my dream?

Okay so I had this weird dream years (yes YEARS) ago and I’m still confused about it. I totally remember it like I just had it last night.

I’m walking in a forest with a man and a woman. They’re both tall and dressed in the stereotypical ancient Greece/Roman attire (white knee-length togas, gold sandals with the strap going up the calves.) The woman had short blonde curly hair and the man had short brown hair, average male style.

Anyways, so we’re just walking when suddenly I stop and I look around, confused. "I’m asleep." I say. The other two stop and smile at me. The woman says, "Yes, you are." I ask, "Am I going to wake up?" The man says, "Yes." I ask him if he’s real and he holds out his arm. I feel it. His skin is the softest, smoothest skin I’ve ever felt in my entire life. "I can feel you," I tell him. "Yes you can," he says. And then, just like that, we continue walking happily through the forest towards a lake.

What does this mean? Who could those two people have been? It was a completely lucid dream, at least that moment was, and like I said, it’s as vivid now about three years later as it was when I was having it.
Neu: See, that’s what’s weird. I never even knew that about the Romans, and yet I dreamed it.

I need homework help…?

i needed to choose something that i think represents america. im using the statue of liberty and we need to make a speech thing that explains why it represents america..

this is what i have so far,,
All though it was sculpted by Fredrick Bartholdi the statue of liberty is recognized worldwide as an icon of the United States. The statue of liberty is a monument commemorating the centennial of the signing of the U.S Declaration of Independence. Our Lady Liberty was given to us by the people of France to represent the friendship established between The United States and France during the American Revolution. Standing a grand total of 301 feet the statue of liberty was often one of the first glimpses of the United States for millions of immigrants after ocean voyages from Europe. Lady Liberty is wearing a stola, which is a toga but for women, a crown and sandals. She is standing on a broken chain which symbolizes the break from England. She is carrying a torch in one hand and a tablet engraved in roman numerals with the date July 4 1776. Which is the day the Declaration of Independence was signed. The statue of liberty represents America because she stands for freedom for all across the land. She also represents America because the break from England was very important for the beginning of our beautiful country.

any help?
the presentation needs to be 2 to 3 minutes and i talk fast so i need more but idk what to say.
i just need ideas…
i cant just do that.. and i have thats how i partly got alot of what i have here,

Which costume would be CUTER?

I’m either going to be a Roman goddess or a goth bride.

I have a toga, gladiator sandals, a gold cord belt and vine-y head piece for the Roman goddess athena.

Or I could be a goth bride. I have this really cute black prom style dress and I’m making a black flower boquet and black veil.

I’m going to wear one to MY party and one to other parties and one trick or treating.

And I’m 13 and 5’7 if that makes any difference!

Oh and no…they’re NOT Party City costumes…I don’t like those, they’re expensive and cheap!

How do you call a person like this?

For Halloween, I’m thinking of wearing something like toga (white dress/ cloth) and sandals that gladiators wear. Am I a Roman woman or Greek woman or WHAT? Because I don’t know what kind of person this is, I still cannot tell my friends what I’m going to be for halloween. Help me please!

In my school play I am a Roman aristocrat and I wear a toga and sandals. But I can’t seem to find any fair priced sandals. Men’s ones will be fine! I live in Newport & Chepstow, so if anyone can recommend me any shops or charity shops they know of where they are sold, I will be very greatful.

Any Help Much Appreciated! — Thank You!

Thanks jordanmhmm, but I really don’t want to be spending any more than £10-£15 on shoes that I’m never going to wear again. Also it would be quite helpful if the websites were UK-Based.

Thanks Anyway. (:
