I have a project at school on the country Italy. Part of the project is to come into school wearing a costume relating to Italy. I have already thought of the paddler on the gondola, the Roman toga, and a Carnival costume. Any other ideas??
I recently had this traumatic experience… my fiancee left me about a month ago… and now I have this dream and there is always a character who comes up in them.
He is an angel I guess. He wears a roman toga type outfit, made of white fabric and gold. He has dark hair and dark eyes and looks upon me with pity and pain. His expression is often the same, he looks like he is tortured by seeing me, as if he wishes he could… oh, I don’t know "save me" from something, but knows there is nothing he can do?
Its strange to me, because I am not highly religious, but I do believe in good and evil. The angel in my dreams is heartbreakingly beautiful, almost, in ways, resembling my ex-fiancee. I wonder if this has any significance, if anyone has an opinion about him, or can interpret the dream…?
Okay so this has been bugging me for like ever. New Year’s Eve, I went into the city with my family. We ate lunch at the McDonald’s near Madame Tussuad’s Wax Museum and Ripley’s Odditorium…and anyway a music video was playing… it showed a dark place with a cross, and a bunch of young boys were tied to the cross. Their skin was painted a metallic gold (as I recall, not sure) and they had cloth tied around their waists. Kind of like Roman toga-y things…anyway that was it. It was a weird music video. It was followed by s music video for…um…I think it was "If I Were a Boy" by Beyonce, or "Creep" by Radiohead. So…if ANYONE was there, 12/31/08…at the McDonalds near Madame Tussuad’s, and happened to catch that music video, can you tell me what it is?
Ok, so, this year for Halloween, I am being Cleopatra. This is my costume:

Besides doing the whole black eye-liner thing, I’m torn as to what other make-up to put on/wear.
For an eyeshadow, should I use a black one so my lids are black too, or, should I use a color? If a color, what would look the best with the costume & on me (I have blue eyes, so, I’m not about to wear blue eye-shadow .)
What about lip-stick? What would look better: a neutral shade, a brown-ish shade, or a bright red?
I know it’s kind of early to be thinking about it, but, I love Halloween so much that I can’t help it (plus, I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so, I always worry about it looking "just right")
Thanks for all your help ! ![]()
Note: I’m going for more of a "sexy" look, than a "scary" one. I’m wearing it for a Halloween party that I’m going to with my boyfriend (he’s dressing up as Marc Anthony)
what would your reaction be if a woman clad in a roman toga at a party snagged her outfit resulting in her being left butt-naked in front of everyone?
When Jesus was
a little boy
do you think he
was like me?
For example….
Did he wonder
when his
birthday was
and wait impatiently?
Did he open up
his presents
throwing paper
on the floor?
Did he kiss his
mum and daddy
eat cake and
candy things galore?
And when he did
get older
and become
a beared man
did he have a
Roman Toga party and
play football on the sand?
It’s a spiritual event
his birthday and
we celebrate world wide
is this not too much to
ask without rorting!
Do you really have to
do this
constant
reporting?
Would his Birthday be
if he just be
an ordinary Joe..
a spiritual expereince
though?
A regular Joe like me
a special man?
Could be?
a person just like you?
Well then….
how about Jack B?
If you find it offensive, please accept my most sincere apologies for it is only intended to be a little playful ~ as I understand we celebrate one particular man’s birthday every year world wide …. and if nothing else, it is a spiritual expereince.. the question is…. is this spirituality only by reason of the man.. or are birthdays a spiritual occasion.
Does anyone know when the first "suit & tie" for men, made its appearance?
And, how and why has it become the standard for men’s wear, all over the globe now?
Are we guys goind to be stuck with this kind of garb forever? When is the Roman toga going to come back into style. Now there’s a handsome get-up in my opinion.
How many of you have ever belonged to a Nudist Camp? I have.
