on saturday i’m going to a fancy dress party, and i’ve chose to go as a goddess.
but what should i wear? like a nice dress – cheapish. not like £40+ but a nice one i can wear again.
also what else do i wear? like a headband? i’ve got nice brown sandals to wear.
any ideas please! and hair ideas? please & thank you! <3
what about this for a dress? not sure if i’m allowed it, my mum said it’s like a ‘piece of cloth’ but i like it. not sure it would suit my face aha.

i have brown hair, to my shoulders maybe a little longer, so i’ll try curling it, i’m going to my friends first anyway probably. oh and thanks for your answers, i’ll get a headband, bracelets & necklaces:)

I dream that i was at an odd forest with rolling hills and an empty sky, where only the sun beat down and no clouds surrounded it. I walked up a hill covered in beautiful flowers and vines and finally reached a kiosk where i met a group of Gods (Greek). I felt like i knew one of them personally (I don’t know his name) all i know is that his hair was curly and golden brown. when you looked down next to the kiosk you would see a city made of stone. There were people dressed in togas and pulling carriages filled with hay. There were golden horses and beautiful marble balconies on the homes there. I was wearing a blue dress with a golden rope on the waist holding it. The dress was up to half my leg (those pretty Greek dresses from the Greek/roman era). It was some sort of celebration where we drank from golden chalices; It was wine. the table in the middle was round and the kiosk was a sort of dirty white covered in vines and grapes. The God that was with me there wanted to tell me something, but he never did. The main tint color in my dream was gold.

I’ve been hearing allot lately from the heterosexual community, which includes the all-influencing barsexual girls, the general consensus that women are naturally sexier than men because they were made to seduce men. This got me thinking about the stone ages which got me thinking about men in togas and then I had my epiphany:
How much of the visual nature of men is actually explored in modern day society? Do men wear toga like outfits? Do we even see the male leg, which the Greeks put spectacular focus on, under all those baggy, insecure jeans? In fact the Greeks (and Romans) got it all right: the sandals, the showing of only half the male chest, the softness of the men, the fabrics that are draped rather than boxed on. Here all we get is an over muscled chest and loads of "overcompensation".
How can we say women have a deeper sexuality when we aren’t even willing to explore vital parts of male sexuality? Are any women or gay guys with me?
Zzz the Greeks didn’t wear dresses, they wore togas…

Okay, so I’m Demeter and have to give a speech tomorrow.
I have to have things that symbolize her and somewhat dress like her.
But no body has over done it, so I just need something simple. (not all fancy, halloween costume big..
Ex/ somebody just put a brown blanket over them to be a "dead bear"..and someone wore a dress with animals on it.
no dresses for me..=]
So..As like props or symbols I am taking wheat and a torch since that’s what she carrys.
U can’t go anywhere to a store or anything so it has to be from home =)
I was thinking just to wear like a brown shirt or pink/navy blue/etc..colors that represent her..?
give me some other ideas please..
im not doing big..like no sheets and stuff please..simple but i will get the points..?

Greek Goddess Demeter Speech, costume help, please open?
Okay, so I’m Demeter and have to give a speech tomorrow.
I have to have things that symbolize her and somewhat dress like her.
But no body has over done it, so I just need something simple. (not all fancy, halloween costume big..

Hi so i bought this white dress. comes just above the knee, flowy. and its in a greacian style. low v neck with some gold bands round the empire line. I was wondering wether that was ok for a black tie event.
because when i wear it it looks really nice but it makes me look like im going to a fancy dress party as a greek goddess?!!

So dresses were inspired by Togas? couldnt Kilts beinspired 2? and dresses are only for women. but togas were for MEN and WOMEN
