on saturday i’m going to a fancy dress party, and i’ve chose to go as a goddess.
but what should i wear? like a nice dress – cheapish. not like £40+ but a nice one i can wear again.
also what else do i wear? like a headband? i’ve got nice brown sandals to wear.
any ideas please! and hair ideas? please & thank you! <3
what about this for a dress? not sure if i’m allowed it, my mum said it’s like a ‘piece of cloth’ but i like it. not sure it would suit my face aha.

Hi everyone,
My husband and I are going to dress up like a roman couple (yay for easy toga costumes) and Ryan, our 16 month old, is going to be CUPID! we bought him angle wings and a bow and arrow. Im making his toga out of a pillow case.
I really doubt my son is going to hold his bow and arrow for much of the night. So I don’t really know if people will get that he’s cupid if hes in a little white toga and angle wings. Will they think he’s an angle? Should his toga be made out of a red pillow case instead? or do i stick with the white? Im thinking im also going to sew/pin a large felt heart over his heart just for detail. Do you think putting glitter/sparkle on his cheeks would be ok….lol….what do you think? Is the whole thing too girly?
Red toga, white wings, white belted sash, white felt heart on his chest, gold sparkle on his cheeks, gold sandals. and maybe something like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/51812962/angelic-wing-hair-clips?ref=sr_gallery_34&ga_search_query=costume+wings&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=37&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title attached to his shoes. Your thoughts???

Ok, so, this year for Halloween, I am being Cleopatra. This is my costume:
http://www.costumesinc.com/p12841/Sexy-Cleopatra-Costume-Adult-Sexy-Egyptian-Costume-Roman-Toga-Adult-Costumes-Categories.html
Besides doing the whole black eye-liner thing, I’m torn as to what other make-up to put on/wear.
For an eyeshadow, should I use a black one so my lids are black too, or, should I use a color? If a color, what would look the best with the costume & on me (I have blue eyes, so, I’m not about to wear blue eye-shadow .)
What about lip-stick? What would look better: a neutral shade, a brown-ish shade, or a bright red?
I know it’s kind of early to be thinking about it, but, I love Halloween so much that I can’t help it (plus, I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so, I always worry about it looking "just right")
Thanks for all your help !
Note: I’m going for more of a "sexy" look, than a "scary" one. I’m wearing it for a Halloween party that I’m going to with my boyfriend (he’s dressing up as Marc Anthony)

I need some help to make my dress work for toga party.
The costumes have to based on ancient Greek, Roman or Egyptian style.
I have had this dress in passion-berry for sometime now, can I use it.
(I live in the uk and things are still quite chilly but I think it should be inside so i can stay warm)

In my school play I am a Roman aristocrat and I wear a toga and sandals. But I can’t seem to find any fair priced sandals. Men’s ones will be fine! I live in Newport & Chepstow, so if anyone can recommend me any shops or charity shops they know of where they are sold, I will be very greatful.
Any Help Much Appreciated! — Thank You!
Bethan D,
Wales, UK.
Thanks jordanmhmm, but I really don’t want to be spending any more than £10-£15 on shoes that I’m never going to wear again. Also it would be quite helpful if the websites were UK-Based.
Thanks Anyway. (:

Does anyone know when the first "suit & tie" for men, made its appearance?
And, how and why has it become the standard for men’s wear, all over the globe now?
Are we guys goind to be stuck with this kind of garb forever? When is the Roman toga going to come back into style. Now there’s a handsome get-up in my opinion.
How many of you have ever belonged to a Nudist Camp? I have.

Heyy =)
Okay I am giving a speech as the greek goddess DEMETER tomorrow. Goddess of Agriculture. I have to dress like her. But I’m not gonna wear anything fancy; dresses, heels, etc.
So can you give me some ideas or make me an outfit?
I’ve already seen her images in google/yahoo so don’t give me that.
I need something I can wear the whole day at school; 60/70 degrees f tomorrow.
I was just going with a brown tank, green jacket, and blue converse.
Which are colors that represent her..
So pleease help! thankss.
ohh, i saw this polyvore http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-set?.out=jpg&id=gFsCMkbZ3RGmgwecdi9_iQ&size=l which was great but way too fancy. I need normal comfy casual clothes. thankss. =]
Also, what to do with my hair?
Im gonna leave it down..and straighten it but she has curly hair and my normal wavy hair is like poof so it might look badd..?
